Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using WhereIsMyProject (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

WhereIsMyProject provides freelancers and small agencies with branded, shareable project status pages for their clients. The Service includes project management tools, client-facing status pages, activity feeds, and optional email notifications.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@whereismyproject.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Plans and pricing

The Service offers Free, Pro, and Agency plans. Features and limits differ by plan and are described on our pricing page.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to Paddle’s Terms of Service. Paddle handles billing, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. Refund requests are handled by Paddle in accordance with their policies and applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
• Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email (spam)
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the Service without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service (project data, logos, updates). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service — including displaying your branded status pages publicly and sending email notifications on your behalf.

You are responsible for the content you publish through the Service, including ensuring you have the right to share client names and project information on status pages.

8. Status page privacy

Status pages are accessible only to people who have the link — they are not indexed by search engines and will not appear in Google results. We recommend sharing the link directly with your client so they know where to check.

You control what project information appears on the page, including the project name, phase names, updates, and any client details you add. Share only what you’re comfortable sharing, and let your client know the page exists.

9. “Powered by WhereIsMyProject”

Free and Pro plans display a small “Powered by WhereIsMyProject” badge on public status pages. This badge may not be removed or hidden on these plans.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, branding, and code are the intellectual property of WhereIsMyProject. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

11. Availability and warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WhereIsMyProject shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WhereIsMyProject from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including liability, indemnification, and intellectual property provisions).

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or related to the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction where the operator resides.
